If installing an XR50 or Crystal Ball in a location known to drop below 15 degrees F in the winter, and the unit will be mounted directly outdoors without additional protection, then purchasing this heated battery pocket will protect the battery down to -40 degrees Fahrenheit. Includes factory prewired thermostat and circuit breaker. Must be factory installed. Works with the XR50 and Crystal Ball products with newer hinged-style, black metal work only.
