Take high-pressure steam samples at the reduced temperature and pressure levels required by our online analyzers using the Thermo Scientific™ Orion™ 1803 Steam Sample Conditioner. Process steam is used in many industries; it is the analysis of this steam that has made Orion online analyzers so important in the power, paper, petrochemical and other industries.

  • Handles pressures of up to 20897KPa (3030psi)— average pressure of process steam is approximately 6896KPa (1000psi)
  • Reduces the temperature of the sample from 538°C (1000°F) to under 38°C (100°F)
  • Requires no electrical hook up, so it can be used in multiple countries regardless of the voltage requirements
  • Can also be used in hazardous locations (e.g. petrochem) without any danger of explosion
  • Has a mechanical temperature shut off valve which will trip if the temperature exceeds 40°C (104°F)
  • Avoids costly damage if cooler fails or the cooling water becomes too hot; valve diverts the hot sample away from online monitor
